No problem, let me know how that project turns out! The Holley system works great with a PC. You can run any intake you want, or order their universal retrofit kit and convert your existing intake. We're just about to change to EFI on a pair of 1300's we did a couple years ago. Although the carbs worked relatively well I just couldn't keep them sealed. When they're under boost for 20 mins at a time and not in a box the fuel always finds a way out. The boat also get used at a couple different elevations and when it was at the lake it would run too rich. Once you add in all the other benefits like knock and timing control, Meth injection if you want, IAC, etc. EFI is the only way to go.

While the Holley TBI doesn't look nearly as good as the FAST unit, we've tested them back to back and have seen no difference. They're both rated at 900cfm but I haven't flowed either of them to verify. The Holley has bigger injectors and requires less fuel pressure as well.

In the interest of full disclosure.. When I started this thread I was just a consumer that was very happy with a new product. Since then I have become a Holley EFI dealer and authorized tuning center. So if it seems like I'm biased.. I probably am ![Lolhit](/forums/images/smilies/more/lolhit.gif)
But it's still the most kick azz system out there right now, and the only one that's USCG certified.

This thread really has me thinking about converting over, mostly because I want some sort of knock control and want faster adjustments for temperature changes. Currently running a 598ci N/A with a 1050 Dominator on it, 725-750hp or so as it sits. Run a Crane ignition box and an MSD dist.
Give me a rundown of what I would need to convert over, assuming my Merlin intake could be drilled/tapped for injectors. I have A/F and EGT bungs in my exhaust so that doesnt need to be done.

For me it was never a tuning issue, it's a cost issue. It would cost me about half of what it costs me to build the engine for what one of these systems would cost. Is there really a cost efficient system for a big cubic inch blower engine on the market? Tossing around rough numbers here but it seems it would cost me $5-7K?

If you're making more power then a TBI system will support and you're looking for a complete kit, or at least a bunch of off the shelf components you'll be right around 5k depending on the HP. If you get a little crafty it can be done cheaper. The only part you'd have to do, or get done, is machining your carb adapter for injectors. Then you need injectors $400, Throttle body's 2x $400-$500, ECU and harness $1400, Universal high flow fuel rails $50, If your fuel pump and reg can't be used then you'd need to upgrade them too $300 pump, $150 reg. You can get 'er done for around 3k. Maybe throw in some hoses and fittings etc.. $3500
