Default Loose steering (excessive play in wheel)

I have stock 96 alpha 1 gen 2 power steering. For some reason this year I have alot of play in my steering wheel. The wheel used to be tight before I changed my motor twice. What did I mess up? Is there an adjustment to limit the play?

Thanks

If you were to grab the drive and shake it back and forth does it move around alot? If so,you may have worn out the tiller arm. You can replace it without removing the gimbal housing. You just need the kit from Merc. It gets a little scary though, because you have to drill huge holes in the top of the gimbal housing for access.
