never even made it to the water Don. I've got the covers, hoping to see you this weekend in my f-ing boat. Still have a chance, might be out of money though. ha ha

Just had to replace both on my 96' Bravo I's thanks to a rock in the Florida Keys. Shafts are about $450. Shaft, seal kit and labor: $1,000 per side. I believe that I read you were considering having a mechanic straighten the shaft, not worth it in my opinion. Any runout and it will cause premature wear on the seal, never mind the vibration and subsequent potential damage to the rest of the drive. I just had to suck it up and replace 'em.
