Replaced all my old gauges with new Livorsi gauges. Put the new fuel gauge in and it said full tank ran to 1/2 tank, then Guess what? Empty! ran out on the lake.. Yes I know should have checked the old gauge first..To excited with new gauges to pay attention... Other gauge worked fine.. Any thoughts? could the gauges be different in ohm readings?

Pretty sure Livorsi does selll their own senders that are compatible with their gauges.
Do people really rely on their gas guages?![Party Smiley 004](/forums/images/smilies/party-smiley-004.gif)
I look at boat fuel gauges as a wild azz guess + or - 20%.

Curious about this as well. What were your previous gauges? I have a 98 Outlaw that I just redid with all new Livorsi and my fuel level seems off from where it was prior to install. My old gauges were Faria.

My fuel gauge is only close when the boat is on it's trailer, don't ask me how I found that out. Discovered the same day that 150' of anchor line doesn't mean squat in the middle of Lake Huron. LOL!!

My Livorsi senders have two small screws for adjustment, both of mine read full this year with just quater tanks after adding the first gas of the season. The proper adjustment procedure is to set empty level when empty and full level when full. I did the math to 1/4 tank with first gas and adjusted them to there...pretty close from what i can tell.
The screws are very sensative if you have them, just a hair turn will move the gauge a 1/4 tank
