If you could add 15% more power for $200 people would jump on that like wildfire......... I wouldn't touch that with a 200' anchor line

Yes, they work EXACTLY as well as automotive chips - which is to say that they don't do anything useful.

Most automotive chips fatten up your midrange injector pulsewidth and advance your ignition curve to give you snappier response. That's why they all require you to "run premium fuel". Some of them do give you some useful other programming such as the removal of speed limiters, or removing shift interrupters or air pump delays that are required for emissions purposes. Aside from that, though, automotive chips are all hot air.

Marine chips are the same "imaginary" horsepower boost with no real world programming benefits.

If you want to go faster, you have to do it the same way as everybody else.

1) Less drag on the boat (slicker bottom, straighter bottom, less gearcase in the water, lighter boat, better weight distribution, better running angle).
2) More efficient transfer of energy (better prop, thinner blades).
3) More horsepower (get more fuel and air through the motor).

That's about the size of it.
