Default Gas guage not working?

My Gas guage did not work today when I put gas in imy boat. I turn the key on and the needle moves to zero. I ran the tank pretty low, could my plunger
possibly floating up the wrong way ?
Anybody ever had this problem?

Take the wire off the sending unit & ground it. Turn the key on. If the gas gauge needle goes to full the problem is the sender. It's easy to replace. If the needle doesn't go to full check for power at the wire. If none look for a bad fuse or wiring problem. If you do have power possibly a bad gauge. Good luck ! ! Now could somebody tell me why I don't have any oil pressure .
