Default cord

cord you are wrong a alpha and a bravo are not the same the bravo is 1 1/2 longer and they make a ss drive for the alpha that was 2 in shorter thats the problem i am having got bad info did the conversion and know the boat slowed down big time

Tommy, mine didn't slow because I went to the BB. However, it didn't make the speed it should either. A friend of mine has the same boat I do, and he swapped over to a 502 EFI and a Bravo. He's experiencing the same problems; he has to use a 21p prop to get the rpms out of the motor. The factory versions will run a 24 to 26. That's a good indicator that too much much drive is stuffed in the water. I think you are correct on the overall length of the Bravo; I measured from shaft to shaft and they measured about the same. That's a mute point now, though. I will keep you updated on our progress, and I will probably post some pictures.
