Default Blowers and Silencers

Is anybody using exhaust silencers on their blower motor?
I want to use a slip-in style 4" silencer on my 496" intercooled, B&M 250 motor with Stainless Marine Dominator manifolds.
I need to use the slip-in style to make Mister Officer happy on certain lakes in my area.

We have several boats, including mine, at my marina running BBC 454, 502, & 500HP motors with Whipples, with clamp on Corsa Mufflers. They have worked fine with no loss in power. I'm not sure the slip-in will get you to <90DB.
