Cometic and Felpro both make MLS gaskets. Both are good. Cometic offers more sizes though in headgaskets.

For everything else, I like felpro and victor reinz.

i like the felpro mls head gasgets over the cometic,s,you dont need a mls head gasget untill you go over 1000 hp,the felpro marine is a stout gasget, and about 50% the cost of mls.

Never had oil dripping from the rivets of the FelPro MLS like the Cometics.

I think cometic was the originator of the MLS style gaskets many years ago on import production cars.

The nice thing about cometic is the wide array of sizes. From thickness to bore sizes. Fel pro works great in most applications, and they put a jazzy black sticky coating on them. But if you're into tweaking quench heights, and tight bore seals, cometic has more to offer imo. For example, if you have a std bore 502 (4.470), Fel pro's closest is 4.580 bore. Cometic has a 4.500. If you had a std bore 454 (4.250) Fel pro has a 4.370, cometic offers a 4.320. Im not a engine builder, but was told by one ideally you want to keep the gasket ring tight as possible to the bore. Plus cometic will make any gasket spec'd to your likings for you.

When I installed my cometics I gave them a couple coats of "copper Kote" spray. Let it tack up and installed them. No leaks. Proper RA finish is important and you cant get any specs of dirt between the layers !
