Raw water pumps
I've had it with Mercruser's rubber impeller's.
I have changed 4 on the water so far this season.
Has anyone tried the Globe Blue Impeller's?
Are there any other solution's?

I've had two in the past 7 yrs.
The only reason I had the second is, I started the boat on the hose and the muffs fell off.
They will work for a long time as long as they get water.

I am running Sea Strainer's, plus additional low water pick-up's.
HP500EFI's with Whipplecharger's, the stock circulating pump's were removed.
If the motor's take more than about 5 second's to start than the impeller's are in pieces.

Have you ever looked to see if the strainer is full or empty before you start?Could it be draining out when you pull the boat out.Seems to me whenever I do have to pull off my in hose it allways seems to have water in it but I am not running a strainer.Hope you get it .James

You will also need to find the key adaptor as they don not have a flat as the standard Merc ones

Globe Blue Impeller
I ordered the Globe Blue Impeller's from Defender's Marine [ Part 2000].
I also ordered the required key's [Mercruser part no.28-56662] a requirement from Globe to adapt to the shaft
I also have been investigating Keith Eikert Single stage units. There are expensive [around $800.00 each] Has anyone tried the KE pump's?
