Formula 302 LS Repower Questions

First I am on a budget so I will do all the work myself, I have already replace the floor and stringers.
Boat has two original 330 454's with TRS and Merc 2 Trans. I would like the boat to durable with 420 Horsepower all the way up to 500 HP. The transom has some rot in it so I was going to redo it this winter which got me thinking. If I put a new transom in I have new options;

Option 1
420 hp
TRS
Merc 2 trans

Option 2
420 hp
TRS
buy some 71C or 72C and move the engines forward a little. I do not know what else is required for this swap

Option 3
420 hp
Bravos move engine back. Once again I do not know what else is required besides the drives/housing
