http://www.chevelles.com/forums/showthread.php?t=283185

Look at the post by BillyGman on this chevelle forum. I think I may go this route on both carbs so I can always get vacuum even in the future if I need quickly. Adding a permanent spacer is a no go. Completely out of room height wise.

Just throwing this out there since you mention the one motor was down on RPM from day 1. gear ratio's in the outdrive the same in both sides ? Did not read the whole thread so just bringing it up as a possibility for lost rpm.

Great idea BUP.

Maybe all dominators are not created equal, but mine have a vacuum port under the primary side bowl.

Blue, yes that is where I am going to add mine. Someone may have added that previous to you obtaining it. Just picked up everything to do both motors. Even got a new vac gauge I can actually read more than 5ft away....

BUP, both are 1:36 gear and 34 pitch B-1's

Mine are dominators that came on merc 525sc, so maybe mercury did that. Let us know what you see with the vacuum gage. They are a very telling instrument, often overlooked.

1700- 16"
Starboard (Stronger motor)
Idle(950to1000) - 8-11"
