I know a guy that has one in a 28 Profile cat. He has never mentioned any problems but I have never really asked. I know his boat hauls ass though. I will see him on Saturday so I will ask if he has any problems. I do know that it starts right up and sounds nasty!

I know a guy with a 2001 38 Sonic with those motors. He has not had any problems as of yet. Sounds and runs great. I am not sure how many hours he has on them yet.

I know of one that lunched the blower. The quarter sized chunks of aluminum took out the long block. The motor only had a few hours on it and was waranteed.

I have 103 hrs on mine and have had no problems. Just had my 100 hr service and the cylinder compression was between 135 and 140.

We've put on over 100 hours since last summer. Just a couple of repairs to speak of.... we had to replace a leaky gasket in the drive oil line twice and then we just had a blower unit rebuilt last week. Otherwise, the engines have run exceptionally well and are very dependable.
