Question Sending unit on an F311

Anyone know where this is. Wild Horses left me high and dry last night in the middle of the bay with over a quarter tank of fuel. NOT. Is this easy to change or am I going to have to pull out the bolsters and floor?

Look under the rear seat there should be an inspection cover in the floor. It should be under it.

No inspection cover. But if I move some of the hoses around behind the seat in the engine compartment.... maybe it will be there. It is really crowded down there!
Thx.

I hope you can get to it after moving the hoses.
If not the floor may have to come out.
I have a 1985 21 foot Formula and it has the covers above them.
Also I had problems with the sending unit but found the gauge was bad. check your grounds.

If you can see the sending unit behind your hoses, and the deck under back seat is covering it, you can always put an inspection cover in.

That is the way my boat is set up....I haven't done it yet, but i am going to need to drill a hole in the deck, and put in a cover if my sender ever goes bad.

On my 89 311, the tank fittings and sender are accessable from the engine compartment. With Bravos there is tons of room there to get at everything. I assume it would be a little tougher with TRs.

Thanks for all the input guys. I dropped a set of keys, screwdriver and socket down there in the last year. All are still MIA. It is really tight. Will check it out this weekend.

Cheers
