Hey 252 Baja... Welcome aboard!! Where do you boat usually? If you store on a lift, you must be on Lake of the Ozarks (known as LOTO here on OSO). We live in OPKS, as well.
Midwest Propeller in Olathe rebuild props and repairs skegs. They would know what paint to use to cover the scratches. I installed a Simrek drive shower on my B1 earlier this year. Got it on the OSO special for $119 and took about 15 minutes to install. I would strongly suggest it.

Thanks everyone for your input. I think I am going to buy the Simrek shower. Is the cheapest place to buy this direct from them? Anything going on with a group purchase?

KC Baja - Yes, we are at the Ozarks, about the 8mm. Where are you at?

Thanks again everyone for all your help!

Bill

Go with the Simrek Halo Driveshowers.

After cleaning the chalk and repainting, I installed 2 Halo models. No more chalk, and no more steam when I come down off plain. Paul Kermis is the President, great guy with excellent customer service.

Heed the instructions on installation, will take you about 15 minutes, most of that is just lining up properly and drilling the pilot holes. www.driveshowers.com Speak or email Paul directly, tell him you're an OSO member and we recommended you touch base with him.
