Default Internal balance flywheel

Is it imperative that an SFI approved flywheel be used on a BBC marine application? Also looking for a good source on a 1 piece internally balanced flywheel for a BBC. Thx!

Here's the one I plan on using. Made in the USA and very reasonable.

I think the SFI rating is great peace of mind on the flywheel.

I have two new SFI rated internal balance flywheels that I had balance checked to zero, installed for Dyno testing only, both are epoxy primed and painted black. Will sell for far less than anything on the market.
These are Summit steel billet, SUM-700180. Paid $209.00 plus my additional balancing fees.
Will sell for 100.00 each plus shipping.

These are the larger of the two Chevy sizes as counted by flywheel teeth, 168 teeth. I switched to the smaller units only because I already had starter motors for the other size.

Pay pal, [email protected] please add 3% PP fee.

Or call 603.228.2888 and pay by credit card.

Borgie, the GM V/VI Flywheel is pretty cheap at $125.00 http://www.gmperformancemotor.com/parts/14096987.html
But it is external balance. Not to hard for someone to internal balance, but say it costs $75.00 (just making that up as 1hr labor for some shops) then you are at $200.00.

Even lower risk, it looks like he boats on my lake about 20 min away. If he doesn't deliver I could run down the street and poke him in the eyes. LOL.
