help! info on powerquest
Looking to upgrade to a newer, nicer, better boat! The one I have my eye on is a 1998 powerquest legend 260 sls. Any info. As far as pros and cons would be great. I currently have a 17 ft four winns and its time to upgrade! If I can figure out how to post the ad I will, its up near Chicago, found it on boattrader.

I had a 1998 Powerquest Legend 260 SX as my first ever boat, bought it in 1999, with a 502. I really liked the boat and had a lot of fun with it but be careful if you want to push it to the 60mph speed, chine walk! Mine didnt have trim tabs and not sure if that would solve the chine walk problem, I'm thinking that it wouldn't. My ten year older, and almost double the weight, 89 31ft Scarab is so much more stable with absolutely no hint of chine walk. At the end of the day though, besides the chine walk issue it was a great boat for me with no maintenance issues and 9 years of use.

That's what I have an it's a real decent size for a 26, a buddy of mine has a 25' outlaw and the pq is larger boat. He has 10 mph more than me but if it's snotty out the pq handles it better
