If I hit a wave that comes over the bow between the quarter canopies and then back to the scoop. If that happens the engine will be the last thing I will worry about.

I was thinking a tube up and rear facing with a k&n in the side air intakes that would feed into a air box at the motors to feed them from the out side. Cooler air and more air. It would all be made custom out of aluminum.

Say, your bilge blower moves 150 cfm of air if it's lucky.

And your 350 is ingesting 550 cfm of air

or

your 502 is ingesting 810 cfm of air

Which moves more air from outside to inside your engine compartment ?

This is along the lines of what I did with mine.

I have 575sci's and after about 30 to 45 seconds @ wot they would fade a bit....probably loose a couple hundred rpms.

I made a air box that surrounds the breathers and is ducted over to the side, I sealed up where the outside comes into the engine compartment and routed it to the air boxes.

Being I took away the air supply to the engine bay, I drilled 2 4" holes under the intake screens and in the engine compartment bulkhead just below and ran vent hosing to supply air to the engine compartment, on one of the hoses, I connected up a bilge blower to move air into the engine bay...I set them up to turn on when one of the ignition switches are turned on.

Did I gain anything, no......but it doesn't fade away anymore

You kept...and that can be big.

Intercoolers for Superchargers can do the same thing....ie: keep the HP when everything has been run for a bit and heatsoak.

Most of us don't run for a 1/4 mile and shut down.

The breathers are right against the bottom of the hatch so inter coolers wouldn't fit without scoops and that wasn't an option ( from the Mrs)
