Are you saying a 5200 to 5600 rpm engine is going to suffer from a 1.49:1 rod ratio?

Yeah you did it right. Did you ever pay for the cylinder head you destroyed?

Rod ratio doesn't mean anything. Rod angle doesn't even bother me at all. I have a 632 I spin it 6600 rpm. I put a good amount of time on it last year before I pulled it down to make more power. The cylinders and skirts on the Pistons looked great. The only thing that bothers me is piston speed and frictional losses. Most of these people that have an opinion about certain combinations not working have either never built one or built one had trouble and called it junk. Look at Tim's little 540's... Do you know what Sterling used for there 1350's cubic inch wise? How about the Pfaff 1000hp N/A motors?
From what i have read, the older MERC 1050's used a 4.375" arm in a tall deck but not sure of the Rod length?
the New Merc's use a 4.21" Arm wonder what the rod length is in these motors?

I could care less if you play nice or not. why don't you tell everyone what AFR's test results were and Johnsons? And then tell us who payed for the cylinder head on your motor. Since your stuff is running. Who's dime is it running on? You can buy two drives and trannys give the guy you bought them from a reach around in the swap shop. But the guy that payed for your cylinder head out of his pocket (because you destroyed it) continues to get cheap shots throughout this thread.

The Sterling 1350 and the Pfaff 1000n/a are both 665's 5" stroke.

you obviously don't know the details and same as the details of the trans and drives I have, mind your own chit when it comes to those details, there is much more to the story then you know, remember there are 2 sides to it all, I honestly can care less WTF you think of how it went....you were not involved....there are thiongs that were kept private, obviously not on other peoples end if they are trying to say otherwise, I can start a huge chitstorm about my situation but decided to keep it off the radar.... hence I never made a post about my "experience" all you are doing is trying to make trouble....
