Got a chance to run the numbers.
Both cams are ok for stock Merc exhaust. They both have negative overlap @.050
The 216/228 112 with a 107 icl = -3* at a 109 icl = -1
The 222/235 115 with a 107 icl = -1.5 at a 109 icl = -1.5
The differerance is with a 107 IOBTDC 4 EVCATDC (3.5)
with the 109 the numbers are IO 2 EC (3.5)
Now, for the intake centerlines I chose 7 and 9 because they're the most common.
Yours maybe a 110. But in any case both cams will be ok with stock Merc exhaust.
