How is it even possible for water to get into the oil from the exhaust, I understand revision but that usally doesnt cause water in oil.

Op do you have a oil cooler by chance? Could this oil cooler have a crack in it?

If you had enough revision to get water in the oil I think you would have a very rough running motor at idle.

Just my 2 cents

Bad intake gasket, head gasket, cracked block or head, bad oil cooler

Have you checked the intake manifold under the thermostat. They rot out there. Pull t-stat and chip at it with a flat blade screw driver.

Intake manifold or gasket. but the oil cooler is also possible. It would take a lot of water for a very long time to get thru the piston rings into the block or to go against gravity and thru a valve seal into the head.

I would think if you had that much water coming back in from the exhaust you would notice some running issues and possibly hydro lock.

Reverted water hits the hot exhaust valves , turns to steam and goes up your valve guides then condensates under your valve covers and drips into the oil . Foamy milkshake and scrubbed guides are the result amongst other things .

Skip the voodo science and pressure test it . Pull the dist and take a peek with a mirror and look for witness marks and seep in the valley . Verify your not dumping 3800gpm in the exhaust at idle from the problem motor .please do tell us what you have found . Reversion will get you water in oil . If you have robust valves that can take the beating. But yea peek up the butt ,motor off ,make sure you dont have a problem where the tail water releases.

If the oil cooler is bad. How will you have oil pressure?
