I have a couple gouges on the sponsons of my cat. They are on the bottom and I have to do some reshaping. Not too bad,but when I apply the Marine tex it just drips off.Do I need to do it a couple of times to layer it and then sand or is there a trick to getting it to stay.

i've used gelcote paste with luck. They sell it at west marine put it on globby and then sand. Wet sand for a nice smooth finish. For finishing use like a 1200 grit wet paper and then compound and then lots o wax!

Hey mark! how are ya? hop eyou are ready for daytona in oct. if you can make jax next week it should be a blast as well!! for filling the gouges you need to use west systems and get some colloidal silica #406 and mix your epoxy as instructed and then add the filler till you get a no sag consistency. it works great!!! call me!
