Can I just say how ****ty it's running is very odd lol?! It's not consistent. It runs up to 1800 then falls on its face, as if the engine shut off. Then it recovers if I cut the throttle quick enough. It surges at idle after revving... And the cold start problem on top of that unless given extra fuel. Is there any other sensor/part I should be checking? Idk guys... As I said I'm going to get on the waiting list for a marina, but I really want to fix this myself.
OBDII diagnostics has a scan tool for a laptop that will apparently read all the same data a Rinda tool will, for 180 bucks versus 700. Any thoughts?

The last set...we'll see. Could have been a waste.

So rock auto had three injectors listed. The TJ11's didn't work (unless something else is wrong). That leaves two more. The 500-2016 injectors are described as "5.7 gsi" under the application. They are walker products. The issue is I can't find that part number in the walker product catalog. I can however find the last injector listed on rock auto - "500-2000". Rock auto doesn't give a description, but the walker catalog only gives V6 volvo injector part numbers. Then right at the very end of the volvo Penta injector guide, it lists no model, but lists 5.7/V8 1994-2007, and the "500-1136" injector next to it.
I know it sounds crazy, but should I buy both the other sets from Rock Auto if your suggestion doesn't work SB?
Lastly, I am about to buy the MEFI burn scan tool, rather than the Rinda tool. Is there any reason not to?
If you guys think the Rinda tool is worth it, I will buy it. It's an investment in the future as well.

I can probably get it in to a local marina (mine won't work on Volvo Penta), next week. I don't have any certified Volvo shops near me, unless I trailer it there. Most want it in the water. I know experience counts, but with the proper tool (Rinda Diacom), I feel pretty confident I can pinpoint the issue. The only question is should I wait for my new set of injectors first. I know I am getting antsy and that's never good for a wallet.

OK i believe the injector your looking for is gm 852956, a little more research needs to be done but that should be the right injector. I need to find the spec's for that part to confrim it however it can be crossed referenced to STANDARD MOTOR PRODUCTS Part # TJ17

I won't have time to read these until later, but it looks like the black/yellow injectors are indeed the right ones.
SB - are the ones you're sending black/yellow style?
