Are these injecotors smaller?

Also - I think I remember the factory ones sticking out of the pods further. But maybe I'm wrong.

Well, how do you score a good set of used factory one's ?

It seems - agreeing with Tailgunner - all the others just don't want to open or seat against the 30psi fuel psi.

His prior (last)set tried where the TJ11's.

Should we remove all doubt that I am making some sort of catastrophic mistake and buy the diacom? I have a pretty solid understanding of this engine by now (I think).

Does the diacom have built in parameters to reference? I suppose the service manual would have that.

Just to recap, my timing was 8 degrees BTC in base timing mode at 1100 rpm. My fuel pressure is good. My ecm is good, good vaccum when running, and good compression.

Is there any way one of my old sensors was bad, and the new one was also bad, combined not allowing it to start? I figured that's where the diacom comes in, so I can read sensors.

Lastly, is there any benefit to me sending you my TBI unit? Is it possible I'm a complete fool and messed the whole thing up? Could you bench test them?

Not sure about questions 1,2, and3 but #4 most definitely. Its easy to take something apart and then days, weeks or even months later miss a critical step on the reassembly end . You really need a second set of eyes to look over what is happening here.

Buck35 - good point.

I just put the factory injectors back in, same as before, no start and won't stay running if forced to start with some extra fuel.

Then I put the TJ11's back in, and she started up. She didn't like it, and stalled twice, but it eventually stayed running. Just bogs as usual when revved. It's clear the TJ11's are spraying more fuel, but I think it's extremely lean still. I don't get any lean backfire, but it bogs so bad when revved.

I'm going to look into the walker injectors when I get back from the marina. Maybe it's worth trying those.

TG - should I try the TJ 17's? You mentioned they were used in high pressure applications, but flow less at 13 psi than the TJ11's. Maybe worth a shot?

I wish I could get my hands on some Black/yellow gm injectors.

Post the injectors brand and models you have used.lots of information here let's keep it simple. And you rebuilt the TBI simple yes but that regulator is a ***** to get in right.

By the way a simple light neon light on the injectors would have displayed the issue

I have used my factory ones - Although I have no proof that they are OEM

I used Standard TJ11's

And just today Napa/Echlin 218058

I will post the walker part numbers that Rock Auto claims fit my boat in a few mins, not at the computer yet.

Maybe this is a dumb question, but if the regulator wasn't in right, wouldn't I see a change in fuel pressure? Let's say I took the regulator out all together, wouldn't I see an extremely low fuel pressure (measured on the fuel inlet side of the tbi)? Because with a broken or missing regulator fuel should just cycle in a loop from the high pressure pump back to the fuel cell. Right? So isn't the fact I have 30-33 psi an indication that my fuel pump is good, and my fuel pressure regulator is also holding pressure?

One more thing. Should I pull my timing cover back off and triple check my cam timing? It would cost me $100 with gaskets and a new timing cover since they can't be reused. Although I am very confident that I set it right, anything is possible.

If your pressure regulator is not working you would have no way of knowing
