Now if that sound crazy the factory VP 4.3 uses the 454 throttle body...and single plane manifold figure that one out. I know the injetors in my 4.3 are 454 injectors i had them flow tested year's ago and the tech shook his head when i told him they came out of 4.3
Lmao. I am not surprised. This has been anything but simple. I will try them.

SB - I have no problem paying for them, but can you get them? I could try locally if you would like.

NAPA tells me the TJ 17's are three days away, so next week. I could overnight them from Rock Auto if SB doesn't have a source.

The one other solution is to find a carburetor that has a TPS port on it, if they exist. Then I could still let my computer do the timing, but the carb deliver the fuel. Unless this is a bad idea. It would really be a last resort.

Nope. Nothing thru my warehouses. A GB reman but in VA. Those Napa's are in VA too (different warehouse) but aren't the TJ17's...just a NAPA brand that cross's, and they are doing a poor job of crossing.

Even way back I only had few sets of the 94-95 Truck 7.4L injectors to turn around.

So an overnight from RockAuto seems to be the best bet then right?

A solution for you if the 17's dont work. You can call OBD daig @ 888-469-3274 tell them you delima they can recommend you a new injectors and then change the mefi program to give your engine the right calibration...this will also require a variable fuel pressure regulator and SB should be all over that. As to the TJ17 and 50 lb injectors...that rating comes at 13lbs not 30lbs so @ 30 it will be much higher ....now the question is will the TJ 17 again be able to hold and run @30lbs..

To be, or not to be, that is the question—

Good call on Amazon Prime. Not sure why I didn't check there before. I will order them tonight. If they don't work I can probably return them anyway, they are listed for a generic VP 5.7 TBI. My engine fits under that generic description.

TG - If the TJ 17's can hold pressure then maybe OBD can just program those to work. I just cant believe how complicated this got.

My original VP # is 3857398, and the GM equiv is 25170301 according to SB. The first one you posted looks really promising.... Although it isn't the exact part number, I don't know what the difference would be. Why would VP need to use a bigger injector for the same size engine? It just doesn't make sense.
