Lol! Okay okay. He told me to tap on it a few times and it should come back to life. I'll try that tonight. But unless he sent me knock offs, I do have the right ones now.

And I didn't investigate yet, but those Merc ones (AC delco) are nla as well right?

Two steps back
Deep breath
Something is giving your ecm bad information somewhere. Something on the installation is not completely correct I think. You're best course of action may be to pull the engine to do the pan and cover gaskets and recheck all of the connections and grounds.
Pretty sure you have a few master techs giving you help now.
Good luck, ken

Buck

That is fair advice. I should be able to yank it out without taking the whole thing back down the long block.

I'm a little nervous doing it with the manifolds installed since it's so damn heavy, and those engine lift spots seem so flimsy.

exactly your MEVI IV conversion should have a locked tune / Volvo and how Volvo wanted it installed. My point as why I asked about all the reflashing that you kept bringing up.

Jegs sells a marine 600 CFM 4 bbl that works well for stock marine apps. it sells for 325 or maybe 350 and is marine rated - coast guard approved.

Yes, the old Holley injector trick. Howard or Rob H by any chance ?

I've had to do it to a few GM injectors too - just know where as near as the Holley's.

Anyway, sorry I didn't mention this, but last time I did in lah lah land (internet) I got lynch mob'd.

Call it an old battle wound. LOL.

Lmao. It was motor man, not sure what his name is. Nice guy though.

Would the Holley carb allow me to still use the computer for ignition timing? You mentioned the hei ingnition has a built in one too. I just don't want to lose horses if I go down that route, and my end goal would be to come back to this project over the winter and fix the tbi when I am not rushing to get it running.

Met to say edelbrock 600 CFM work pretty well right out of the box. for the 350 stock apps.

NO ecm used for carb apps - take all of that out and store it or sell it.

who is motor man ? I have no idea

It's a company out of Michigan. Damn so i probably would lose horseS... With no good spark advance setup. Or I would need a new distributor.

nvm that's not a good solution then. I would need to have custom RPM gauge sender, new wiring for my trim tabs, trim, ignition switch, etc, etc.

I mentioned before, the module in the EST (computer controlled) GM Distributor (I showed picture of it and you responded you have it) has an advance curve built into it when not computer controlled.

Merc even used it in some applications with carb's and called it 'The Voyager' ignition.

You are going to need a return style carb fuel psi regulator that turns down psi to 6psi.

Flame Arrestor should bolt on, shares same base size. Just make sure it is tall enough not to block the choke tower.

Since you are going carbed, I can help you make a ton more hp if you want. LOL.
.
Pssst: Change out the bad correct injector.
