Mike not sure your age. But to you remember when you could get Torco fuel at the pump? the good old days now you have to by it in a 55 gal drum, we where pushing 12 psi of boost with 871's on 540cu blocks back it 2002. when you dropped 1k in fuel at the pump and was gone before the end of the day.

BTW, I pretty much scrapped this blower swap idea. I think the money would be better spent on props. Right now my props put me at a cruise speed of 100 at 4400rpm...I would like to get that cruise rpm down some. A 5k for a set of used #6 5 blades gets a little salty...

i am almost as old as dirt.i remember the days of pulling up to the pump at sunoco and turning the dial to 260.if i remember correctly that was 100 oct leaded gas.the good old days.today we have unleaded 93 as the best at the pump, that is why we keep the boost to a low level and the basis of my comment about 30 lbs boost.

Mike, I also am an old poop. I remember in the late 60's into the early 70's it was cool to pull in and dial your own. It must have been a logistical nightmare to have about 6 or 8 grades available to blend at the pump. Looking back, maybe the Sunoco guys were just blowing smoke!
