Thats a 24x7 correct?? try a 23 mirage. Im running a 23 mirage on basically the same boat with an old worn out 330. you should be able to pull it unless you have some other limiting factor.

yes its a 24x7 trs il prob get the same rpm with the 23 mirage and the 21 rev 4 i have. just couldn't figure out why i got another 500 rpm by changing the carb and the mph stayed the same

I hear ya. Its just that alot of people read these threads, and rely on the information that is given here. I know there are alot of boats out there going slower, because they were told a 454 is a small engine, and needs small oval port GM heads to have a good build. I'm glad I didn't bite on that subject, I wouldn't have 800hp/740ft lb 454's if I was running truck cylinder heads on them.

The TRS is killing you. And its probably deep too. Not that the TRS is a bad drive, but with 350~400 hp its overkill, That hull starts to come alive right about where your running out of power.

You get that thing running about 60 ~65 in some 2~3 foot chop and you will have a chit eating grin that will last you a long time...
