Ok I hate to quote my self but
Thats 416 lb ft at the crank
405 lb ft at the prop
not 450 lb ft anywhere
Sorry maybe I wasn't clear the 1st time, I did make a mistake in my 1st post tho the peak torque should be at 3300 rpm
Peak power is at 4700 rpm btw altho the curve is pretty flat and I would still prop for 4600 the original question
has a max torque of about 416 ft lbs /405 ft lbs @ 3500 at the crank/prop not 450 ft lbs

what curve are you looking at, can you post it or tell me where to find it. I understand what you are saying. jsut want to see how flat. with the info you told me, I may now pitch for 4700 with fumes and myself on a cool day. then be at 4500-4600 with the 3 buddies and some fuel. wanna see the curve after 4700.....

ok. here is my plan
I will tell him that i want the same "effective pitch" when done, or if anything, a very slight pitch increase (1/2") to maintain my cruise at 40mph/3000rpm.
I should then be able to pull more speed because i can now reach 4700 with identical pitch or, if he repitches a little, still gain some speed at 4600.
really just want to break that 64.99999 mph barrier Ive seen on my gps

Thanks for giving us the desktop dyno guestimate , My original post was just to note the guestimate was somewhat off in the torque #'s
There should be about a 10% differential between crank & prop HP/Torque. Based on your prop numbers, the graph looks very accurate for crank numbers.
