Tall Oil Filter?
So, what's the deal with the taller oil filter that Merc offers.
There's the standard shorty and then there's this tall oil filter...Is it just more flow, more filter element? Any harm in switching?

When I bought my filters, they came in three sizes. Not being sure which would fit, I opted for the middle size. They are Auqua Power. I'm glad I didn't get the long one, because I barely had enough room to get the medium in. If I had the room, I would get the long one. More filter area.

I moved my filter mounts to the stern and use a 2 quart filter made by Delco. Can't remember # off hand ,it's in the boat and I'm in work, BUT it's also available in a Wix filter #51794
.
