Since we took a turn towards tq bands, here's how it worked out.

Old engines
663 ft lbs @ 4600 peak
594 ft lbs @ 5800

New intake/ carb/ cam with highest hp and lowest tq.
658 ft lbs @ 4600
666 ft lbs @ 5100 peak
635 ft lbs @ 5800

Final combo as installed
662 ft lbs @ 4600
673 ft lbs @ 5300 peak
627 ft lbs @ 5800

So with making the types of changes available to Tim the torque peak moved up 700 rpm. Torque was down the entire range prior to 4600.

Edit- standby I transposed some numbers... All fixed

I have by far the weakest power ever installed in this boat. Everything is setup for almost 2x the power I'm making.

Couldn't agree more. Wasn't keeping this hull so I was not investing in new exhaust. We feel we left a lot on the table. But if that's what your running that's how you test.

Mine were dyno'd in full boat trim with the CMI sweepers, off the dyno straight into the boat......several dyno shops cant accommodate wet exhaust.

Not only wet exhaust but also a big enough water tank to pull from with your seawater pump.

Interesting to compare the powerbands. Our peak tq is the same rpm and the numbers are sort of close. You made noticeably more hp however 600 rpm higher.

a CAM BETWEEN 248-256 DURATION NUMBERS... WILL MOVE both TQ AND hp UP... SAME AS MORE AIRFLOW IN GENERAL, EVEN IF i HAD SAME CAMS, HEADS FLOWING MORE AIR WILL STILL INCREASE POWER... TO A POINT..
