I always post everything, I am not a "secret" kinda guy.... I really want to go solid, but n ot sure I want to pull exhaust complety off every 25 hours to lash check, if I gained 40-50 HP I would be WAY happy... current sets of lifters are going to Johnson for inspection and any cleaning or fixes needed, things look fine but sending them anyway, especially if I sell I can give them a clean departure knowing they are ok, I wont sell junk to anyone.
id bet 40-50 hp gain with new intakes and port work. Most importantly your not going to continue slinging cam dust everywhere throughout and you'll have a good stable valvetrain. You have to make the decision on cam however I'd really consider going solid roller. It's always nice to know valves are open when there suppose to. Just my opinion but I hate hyd lifters. Did you inspect your roller bearings and clean. Time consuming I know but if you do use them I'd be a little concerned about cam lobe residue. May sound overly cautious I know but no need to take a chance. Less agressive lobe hyd will be fine I'm sure. I just have a personal preference and don't like to second question a valves position at a given moment. Keep us informed what cam you go with. No secrets now!!!

Where the valve locks hard to remove ? Any discerning marks in the grooves ?
