Winterization question
Does anybody remove the speedometer tube from the back of the speedometer and blow through the tube to expel any water in it? or is it nothing to worry about?

By Jove!! That's one I never thought of!! It should not be a problem. When the boat is on a trailer, gravity flow should pull any/most of the water out. Also, the water is in a rubber tube ant there is plenty of expansion to not hurt anything as far as I can see. my .02

We got too much time on our hands..........
better drill about a dozen small holes in the trailer frame, there might be some trapped water in there too. Haven't you ever heard of all the unfortunate boaters who have craked trailers come spring? Or cracked speedo tubes...

Getting water out of the line should not be an issue unless you have a leaky gauge or a hole in the speedo line somewhere......the speedo gauge is basically an air pressure gauge. It works by the water pressure compressing the air in the line and giving you a reading on the gauge.
