454 is as big as i would go with a 177 and even that small of an engine needs some compression to make decent power.

that depends on cubic inches of engine,and don,t forget that untill the engine gets up to app 3000 rpm the pro charger is not making any boost,that really hurts in a heavy v hull.

Greatly appreciate all the great advice,.but againim really not even that worried about power,even if I get 60 more hp IDE be happy,is anyone familiar with the procharger running with a cArb?which one is more strain to the motor,An will I be ok with my 525 cam An heads?

Also my boat barely sees over 4800 rpm,I never beat her,an it never runs over 130/135 temp..am I going to blow anything up with either of these set ups??

Either can be made to work. The actual cost of the blower will probably be less than half the total cost. Gonna need a new carb specifically tuned. Maybe a different timing curve, etc, etc. Neither is just bolt on and go and they need to be tuned in the boat or on a dyno.

That depends on how well either is set up and how well they are tuned.

That depends on how well either is set up and how well they are tuned.
IDE like to run about 4lbs of boost,will the 177 run to hot trying to do that??..also is the procharger even capable of running that low of boost..also both kits are complete soup to nuts including preset carbs both off very similar motors to mine
