Waiting on some parts from Eddie Young and also Al working on the heads.

My Wife de- greased the bilge, roughed it up with 180 grit and put down 2 coats of paint. Looking good.

Looks great. What paint did you use in the bilge?

This time I decided to Try Rustoleum with the Hardener from Valspar. Many have used it and have had good success.

Last Boat I had...the Top Gun...I used Bilge Coat, I found that it turned yellow and faded pretty fast and despite good prep seemed to take forever to cure

The Mistress I had, I did Red in Awlgrip, It was harder to work with and on the Spendy Side.

So we shall see. The white is nice and bright, and that is what I like, it was easy to apply and flowed really nice. I tend to keep a really clean bilge so I assume it will hold up well. I mixed up a 1/2 quart at a time with the hardener. So far I am pleased, but I guess time will tell.

The prep was Cleaned Bilge with Purple Industrial Degreaser from Tractor Supply with a pump sprayer. Power Washed. Then Light sanding with flexible sanding blocks 180 grit. Finally wiped everything down again with acetone and tac cloths.

Applied the Rustoleum Bright White. Brush and Small Roller.

Can't go wrong with Eddie Young. What is he supplying?
Don't forget to register for the Battleship, discounted registration is coming to a close. The wife just did ours.

Long ride to Tennessee but you will get a good tune. Besides a talented engine builder, he is a good guy.
