Question Gauges?

Been looking for new gauges. How important is an oil temp gauge? I'm looking for white faced gauges and all that I have found don't offer the oil temp gauge. Anyone know of a company that sells them? Thanks in advance, 88Mach 1

IMHO oil temp is very important especially if you're running a performance motor. I've had boats with 7.4, 454 MPI and 496 and none of them had an oil temp gauge. With my HP500s, its a must. Have you looked ay Gaffrigs yet?

What are you running?

I'm running a 454 with 500 hp. An all roller set up. I really want white faced gauges. I'll check out Gaffrigs. Do they have a web site? Thanks, 88 Mach 1

Here's the site Livorsi (Livorsi is Gaffrig)

You can also get them (cheaper) through Nisonger Marine, Teague
and most of the other distributors

Hope this helps

Oil temp is probably the most important guage, it tells you when there "is" a problem, water temp tells you when there "was" a problem,, water temp is still necessary tho don't eliminate int
