liberator exhaust
hello,
I own a 1988 261 liberator with twin 454's and i would like to make it louder. It currently has side hull exhaust with a auger shape welded inside it. I would like to cut this auger piece out to see if it will be louder but I am worried if it was put in in case of water reversion. Would anyone know the reason for this piece to be welded in the side hull or to help make it louder?
thanx!!!!!!!!

I owned a 1988 Liberator 211 with a 460 then a 540 Ford with side exhaust. These were partially submerged at rest and mine didn't have any type of baffles , they were straight thru. In 7 years I owned it I never had a reversion problem. Although I did get tired of screaming at the person next to me. I finally added Corsa Captains Call. Much nicer Then I could have the best of both worlds
