Unless they have been run really hard. So, spending two or three thousand a side for new rotating assemblies to make it 38 cubic inches bigger may very well be diminishing returns on your money spent. In fact, instead of spending 1k to 1500 redoing the factory GM heads, that money spent on better flowing heads instead of Increasing displacement 7.5% might be something worth considering.

the kits are no longer offered by Ateco that was a special deal trying to drive thru a rough economy... but I can put something together for you as we discussed yesterday on the phone.. just gotta get all my ducks in a row to get you the best deal I can for a package... Agreed on the injectors, you'll need to step them up to at least 45# injectors to get the duty cycle to land in a happy zone... I'll be in touch

Smitty also does injectors. That is a weak link in all merc engines. 500 hrs. Equivalent to 50k miles or so if these engines were in a truck. The valve trains are sensitive, obviously. You going to need valve jobs, head gaskets rockers, lifters. But the bottom ends, you might find that they don't even need rebored and cranks cut.

Look Up this on OSO: 36 Outlaw Doc Holiday
He did a 36 Outlaw with supercharged 540's I think he got it to 90MPH. Without the superchargers, he sold the boat normally aspirated and it was 82MPH I think. Theres no problem getting power out of your package but even at a cam swap, if you are at 625 HP you are going to have some issues with the drives pushing an 11,500 pound boat.
