I asked the same question about a year ago. Bam marine answered with drives and props. The props are really rare now. They are advertisers on this site. Look them up.

Ken,

Merc just released the last of the drives that they had. Any dealer can get them for you. They are about $8500.00, but come with the new upgraded gear XR gear set etc. Mark at BAM had 2 the bought off of E-bay, he was/is selling those for $6500 each, they have the upgrades to them as well. I don't know if Mindi Doller still has the rebuilt BlackHawk. She was originally asking $3500 or so.

The hard part is the props are getting very scarce. Merc hasn't restarted production of the props, so they are getting pretty hard to find, for a reasonable price.

Rj-could you please forward that list to me? [email protected]

Performance marine in Oshkosh will also be able to set you up with a Blackhawk. As others have mentioned though...be sure to bring your checkbook.

Ric-because when the drive is on the correct hull it is 10mph faster than any bravo. The key word is the correct hull.

If this image is large enough to read, it'll answer you questions...

Ok, for some reason, I can no longer post a large image. I'll paraphrase:

1. The blackhawk drive is designed for "Single engine high performance sport boats" that are 20-25 feet in length and run in excess of 65 mph.

2. It is designed for boats that have natural bow lift.

3. The blackhawk drive is designed to operate with the propeller shafts parallel to the water surface....To achieve this, "Delta pads", "Notches", or "Steps" are often used.

4. Should not be used on boats that have a "Hook" in the back of the boat hull or that have "Lifting strakes" that run to the back of the boat.

There are also a couple of pics that help to illustrate the above points.
