Default Exhaust

I have an HP 500 Carb and have water reversion. I currently have the Gill exhaust from which I understand contribute to this problem.

I need to replace the Gills... What does anyone recomend as a replacement.. I am looking for good and cheap and local Florida

You don't need to replace your manifolds. You only need to put in a taller riser, which Gil offers. These risers were used on the later model HP500 carb motors.

I seem to remember reading somewhere here that on an Hp500 water reversion is possible if you have weak valve springs. They should be checked and replaced.

Please note I am NOT POSITIVE about this and apologize if I am wrong.
