Thanks
What cam did you go with from Raylar?

You're covered. Between MER and Larry at Raylar you wont find many others that know that much about the 8.1/496 platform. There's about 10 other guys that did nice normally aspirated builds but for supercharged, you got the right guys.

Bolt that schit on and GO!

Nice! Thats the big one. Did you do the 4.5 inch stroker or the 4.75 540 cu in stroker? Who is doing the computer reprogram Raylar or Whipple? Your next problem will be the injectors and fuel regulator.

You are going to be building a lot of power dude.

I went with the 4.5 inch crank,I am going to get Whipple to do the reprogram.
I got the whipple kit for the 496,it came with an adjustable fuel regulator and fuel injectors.
I hope the injectors are the right size as the whipple kit was for a standard 496.
Hopfully whipple can advise me

I am not sure how much power I will end up with
I do know its gunna use a lot of gas .so I fitted three new fuel tanks total 200 gallons

Stock Merc 496 injectors are 43lb models. More than likely the Whipple's are 63lb. What gen cool fuel system do you have? You need to redo your fuel system from tank to fuel rail. Stock setup was barely adequate for stock Whipple's 496. Don't skimp on the fuel side. Overkill is a good thing. Listen to Dustin and look at what is in the newer 3.3l 496 kit. Are you setup to monitor air fuel ratio, map? Dustin will need alot of info to tune it right.

True. When I did my engines I replumbed with new fuel tank pickups from CP Performance and new braided lines.

I wonder if thats why some guys have fuel pressure variations with Raylar setups such as me running 46 PSI and others needing to run 58 PSI. But I have big pickups and lines. Maybe thats why some guys are having issues.

Yeah I am running new fuel system, getting rid of the cool fuel and returning fuel to the tank.
I agree overkill is good thats why I put -16 pickup in the new tank,I will run -16 line from the tank to aeromotive fuel pump then -10 from pump to rail and -8 back to the tank
I am going to monitor AFR's but havent deceided which exhust I will use
I did contact Whipple before I started the project and told them I was using Ralars parts they said they where familiar with Raylar and would be able to do the tune,I also let them know I had the 2.3 l blower they didnt mention any updated parts they use on the 3.3 l .
It wasnt Dustin I spoke to so i better contact them again to make sure
