Finding the 29 outlaw weights 6800 with twin BBC, so if the boat doesn't catch air, 450+ should not be an issue on the drives

I would contact Top Quality Source for Boat MEFI ECU Tuning | CO, KS, OK, TX, NE, AR, MO | MEFI Tuning and see if they have an ECM tune already written for what you are building with one of the listed cams.

Mercury 454's similar to your mag motors, GM rectangle heads, flat cam, roller rockers, single plane 800carb and better exhaust.

i ran that same platform for years. Was a 4 mph plus gain over the 454/365 in a single 24. Then stepped up to dart oval port heads with the 502/465 cam and lightning headers. That was an awesome combo and made great power.
