Anyone know of (or have) a rental shop that has an A-frame/chain fall available to rent. I'm about ready to pull the motors only to realize that my engine hoist won't extend high enough. I've tried a couple of local (Livonia) rental shops with no luck.
Much thanks all!

Just call your local sign company and hire a small crane. Have everything ready to come out when he gets there and it shouldnt take more than 15 minutes to do the work. You will be billed for the travel and set up time also. Get a quote for an hours usage. I have a friend that pulls mine and I had both out in 15 minutes.

Waterfoul and I have enlisted the help of a house framing crew that had a Pettibone that they were using to place the roof trusses on a jobsite right down the street from my house. $20 and a couple beers got the job done.

Brian41: You da man! Where are you located? I grew up down in Woodhaven. Have you used it to pull the motors out of your boat before? How high/wide is it?
Let me know the best way to get a hold of you. You can always catch me at 248-701-7450. I really appreciate it!
