256 or 177 blowers
i have 94 454mags 376hrs i was wondering if i could install a pair on my boat w/4to 5 pounds of boost w/o hurting or changing the reliability of the motors. also what jets would i need in carbs .94 weber, carter type. want to go faster but not lose reliabilty.

I wouldn't recommend adding blowers to engines with 376hrs. You would need bigger carbs as well and should go through the engines completely before adding the blowers.
More than likely, you will need valve jobs soon anyway.

Griff is right...thats way too many hours to install a blower without a rebuild....the mags have the right parts for a mild blower installation but only on a fresh engine. Don't forget to give attention to the igition, especially timing, and fuel volume. Good luck.

Puder, that seems like a great price for the intercooler.
It's about $1400 retail for a Superchiller for a B&M 250.
What are running the 174 on and what kind of performance are you seeing?
