LOL, No it is the base color to the orange/gold of the original valve covers. It also goes with the new paint job I put on the Active Thunder this summer.

yes the v6 is mostly trans stuff for converter dump valves, lencos , 8 spds ect no reason to upgrade
v5 is mainly for staged injectors so if not running 16 inj v5 isint really necessary

If you run the crank trigger you'll run a cam sensor in place of the dist. That's how we

did this one last month.

Converted this one from MEFI 2 to a Holley HP with Dual Sync and a single coil a few weeks ago. Going to the dyno Thursday to get the base tune done and ready for the boat. The Holley system has been an interesting one and this one was a bit of a challenge because there's zero documentation out there about running an HP system with a single coil...like zero...had to figure it out on my own.

Sweet setup!
I jumped the shark a month ago and bought dual sync and coil near plug setups. It wasn't the least expensive way to go, but I believe it was the right way to go.

Crank trigger seemed like a paint in the a$$ to move pullies and install on my set up, more expensive too.
Dual sync way easier.
Unless you`re going over 7,000 rpm dual sync will work just fine.
