On a good note, the 2nd engine lit! Heading out to grab boat and hopefully drop engines in tomorrow. Getting close!.

2nd engine ran great on the run stand with the "Master Dyno Tune". Dropped them in the boat. Took a lot of time aligning everything and drilling new engine mount holes in the new out stringers. Now need to plumb new fuel system and rewire the bilge for the EFI.

Nice work.
I was trying to tune a boat Westledyke build and changed from CHIEF EFI to Holley.. that dude should stay away from anything EFI especially Holley. I think a 5 year old could make a better tune/ base map. what a mess.

Dan, where did you mount your ECU's. My harness won't make it to my firewall so I mounted them to my outside stringer. Don't know if I like it there, Might mount on transom??

I like the location since RF interference won`t be an issue but water might be?
I think I`d rather have them higher up on the transom.

Mine are mounted on teh back of the engine and on vibration pads

, It`s on an L bracket ,designed for your typical MSD box

I just stumbled across this thread and want to make sure I am reading this straight----not really trying to start a chit storm and correct me if I am wrong, but are you saying; a 5-year old would be able to make a better tune than Dave Wesseldyk and that he should stay way from anything EFI ??? Or am I not reading it right? Just asking

Well, anyway, really no slam towards the poster, but whether it was directed towards Dave Wesseldyk or not, I do not come on OSO much anymore, but I know "Rookie" we both live in the west Michigan area and I like to follow his projects and see what he is up to---and I just was really caught off guard to find what I was reading----from what was being posted in a very negative way about Dave Wesseldyk not being able to tune EFI stuff.

I was shocked to read it and I can only assume something is amiss or greatly misunderstood as to what was said as it relates to Dave's stellar reputation as a very talented/gifted offshore businessman with what was said concerning Dave's tuning abilities. Peace to you all. .

I don`t know why you michigan guys always suck that guys weener so much.
I`m not going to argue with you but I`ve seen the tune and heard the horror stories on other things .
How many people got charged for top of the line parts only to sell the boat and then next guy blows it up opens the motor to find chinese parts in there .
Reminds me of that BOB MUDERA idiot. Everyone loved him too for some reason too , I guess good conmen are good at convincing people that dont know any better.
I know better .
