Default Chrome Paint

For those of us playing in this sport on a shoe string budget like me, I love finding money saving tricks.

Rustoleum recently came out w/a “chrome” paint in rattle can that is very good!
Not like back in the day where it was just silver.

Large jobs I still spray w/a gun and real paint but on small, I use rattle cans where I can.

Did one version of my ram air system for my MGB car w/it and it looked great!

Also did the center caps in my tow pig, 6 months ago and still going strong.

The one negative is it’s a soft paint.

Their standard rattle can stuff is very very good and resistant to abrasion as good as anything from a rattle can and you would be shocked at what I’ve gotten away with painting with their rattle cans.

You wouldn’t know by looking at it.

Did the wife’s wheels on her jeep wrangler six years ago and they still look new!

And have done probably a dozen sets of wheels the same way with the same success.

Anyhow thought you guys might like this.

Great for something that’s cosmetic, not in a high traffic area etc.

The picture is of my ram air 4.0 version for the MG.

Its painted PVC pipe.

Thx.
Its my therapy.

’74 MGB

Wanted one forever and this one surface locally last spring.

Being in Ohio, they’re all rust buckets so Pickens are slim.
This is a, probably 10 yr old restoration.

Im shopping for a spare motor for it to build/hot rod.

Thing is an absolute blast to drive and almost as much fun to work on.

Very nice!. "...and almost as much fun to work on" is an important aspect to classic car ownership.
