Yes that is a possibility but I'd like to change the efi setup regardless for various reasons and the blower change is sparked by whipples claim that their roots blower replacement charger makes more power at the same boost levels. I'm getting close to being maxed out on pump gas so if I can make the same or more power more efficiently and safer to the bottom end then to me that's a win.

Still a twin screw not a roots but with a top opening .
That`s good for someone with carbs that doesn`t want to go EFI .
With the rear entry there`s 10 injectors and the TB all in one , no need for injector plates ot extra throttle bodies.
Instead of firing 8 injectors in the TB`s I had now i`m firing 10 injectors in the back of the blower .. all I had to do was wire in 2 more injectors plugs in parallel , no need for any new harnesses. But I don`t know how a sniper system is wired so I can`t help you there .
The Whipple has a bypass line that helps with idle so that will improve but at the end of the day you`re not going to get any more power or cooler charge. Your 14-71 isn`t making any heat at 5lbs. My IAT hasn`t changed much .
Whipple marketing sounds great , reality is a little less super .
Spend your money elsewhere. 8.3L whipple is overkill for a 540ci. the 5.0 which is the same case different rotors would be a better choice.

So that being said....would you recommend the terminator setup you had before? My main issue is the single IAC, no knock sensors, and all around lack of options. The sniper system is great for a lesser motor ran on the street with no real high performance needs....I want the ability to have knock sensors for added safety which can't be added on the sniper...no ability to add a second IAC...a lot less fine tuning capability. It's not a terrible system I just think my motors needs have surpassed it's limits. I would love to bump the boost a little on mine and make the extra power but it makes me nervous with the limits of the sniper.

Spend the money on upgrading the injection. You could keep a similar setup (throttle body) but with a separate ecm that would then have the options you’re looking for. No reason to get too complicated.
Keep your existing blower.
