Can you swap lever locations on Livorsi Throttle/Shifter?
Hi all - I currently have a four-lever Livorsi throttle/shifter in my boat. The throttles are in the middle 2 slots and shifters are in the outside 2 slots. I'd like to move the levers to have both throttles on the right and both shifters on the left. Before I go take the unit out and try myself, does anyone know if swapping the locations can be done? I'd think so but don't want to waste a hassle. Thanks.

Be careful when you take it apart there is little ball bearings in there that like to fall out.

1. Mark the cables before removing.
2. Take the whole thing out of the boat as a unit.
3. Then take it over to the workbench or kitchen table to do the reconfiguration.

If you swap them as proposed, think about the smaller gearshift levers and docking, especially pulling the starboard motor in and out of gear with a throttle lever close against it on one side and the other gear shifter against its other side. I had Mercury zero effort controls set up that way years ago and it was a PITA.

I moved the controls on the zero efforts this winter, not too bad other than taking up the kitchen table for a few days. Edit in: i work on stuff, so can figure out things typically.
As was said, watch your little balls. ie: detents

I'm with RR. Don't see any upside to changing this. Having the shift levers on the outside slots would be much easier to control.

When you have you hand over the top of the twin throttles, all you need is just your pinky and ring finger over the top of the outside throttle handle to control it.

I must admit I was envisioning left side sticks. I like to have one hand on each shifter and drive it like a skid-steer.
Right side sticks would be a different animal for sure.
