^^^This. All I know is those things sounded badass at LOTO. Pull all that FI stuff off of there and install some carbs - go boating.
I can sell you your old Holley throttle bodies back if you want? I decided not to use them and just stay old school for that exact reason, or go Merc like you said earlier.

Welp I was hoping not to wrench this much on this boat , thought I had payed enough money for it to be right but that didn`t work out.
I was really hoping for a winter without pulling engines ... at this point it`s embarrasing like I`m a total idiot that doesnt know what he`s doing, pulling engines every year .
Got guys like Johnny from Saris telling me all I can build is "garbage motors" .
It`s hard to keep going .

I have been drooling over these port injected intakes for a while but this Biden economy is a dumpster fire and I`m stretched very thin and who know what`s coming. If the Demorats steal another one then I`ll need money for ammo. There will be civil war.

I already text you this but going to post it with the hopes that we can help you see the light!
Please stop rushing to use the boat this season. Take a deep breath, and start planning for next season.
-Leak down and compression test-Pull the engines, tear them down and check the build-Upgrade any parts needed-Upgrade to Holley EFI-Dyno tune both engines with individual cylinder tuning with 10 O2 sensors-Do another leak down and compression test for a baseline to monitor yearly. Good news is that you know you love the boat and that it's worth putting money into to make it your own. So just do it right now from the start. Why keep chasing issue after issue risking major problems. There's been enough red flags not to trust the build. If you start this process now you will be front of the line and have plenty of time to get it ready for early next spring. If you keep trying to run it and something major breaks you will be in a rush to do an even bigger project and spend more money before for next season, or potentially miss next season.
I know it sucks, and you shouldn't be in this situation. I understand that you did your due diligence. But honestly this is all too common. I have been in the same situation along with 99% of my friends. Makes zero sense, but it is what it is. Shoot the guy who bought your Cig is in the same "boat" as you right now. Sucks. Theres just a weird karma when buying something like this.
And putting merc engines in your badazz boat is like changing it's gender identity, it's just wrong!

Sounds like Little Carpe needs to come back out.
Anything used, no matter what the cost or what due diligence was done seems to be issues. Namely old houses.
Buying these things broken seems to be the way to go IMO, then you start with a clean slate.
